Accelerated BSN Program
We are delighted that you are interested in our Accelerated BSN Program at TCU! This fast paced program is designed to prepare students for professional nursing practice in a 15-month program. Our program of study provides students with the same number of clinical hours as our traditional students, but the courses and clinical times are arranged differently to maximize experiences. Students in this program are ambitious, driven, and have proven record of academic success. Students will obtain 59 credit hours of nursing coursework during the four semesters: summer, fall, spring, summer.
Our faculty is comprised of accomplished educators, researchers and practitioners interested in promoting the field of nursing education and practice. Our simulation and practice labs are equipped with state of the art simulators to prepare students for patient care before care in the hospital setting begins.

• Includes a professional nursing residency during the last semester
• Provides a solid grounding in practice through partnerships with regional health care systems
Admission Criteria and How to Apply
All applicants must already have or be working on completing a baccalaureate degree in any field other than nursing (e.g. BA, BBA, BFA, BS). It must be completed by the time our program starts in May.- GPA of 3.00 or greater in either undergraduate degree or nursing prerequisites (AP1, AP2, Micro, and Statistics)
- After August 1st, go to TCU Office of Admission's website to apply as a transfer student at www.tcu.edu/apply
- Submit all your official transcripts to Office of Admissions
- Upload a Resume with your application
- Complete the Nursing essay - Students do not need to fulfill both; just the NURSING essay
- Mail your A2/HESI scores to the Office of Admissions - The Academic Assessment (A2) exam is offered at TCU during the fall. Check the link for times and information. Scores must be included with your application at the time you apply. It is the student's responsibility to submit the scores to the Office of Admissions.
- Apply by NOVEMBER 15th
- Must complete required departmental prerequisites* - If you are enrolled in coursework during the fall semester or plan to take courses in the spring, transcripts and class schedules must be received by TCU admissions and ABT Nursing office by January 7, 2013. See courses below:

- Anatomy & Physiology I and II - must be a 4 credit hour course with a lab
- Microbiology - must also be a 4 credit hour and include a lab

TCU CORE - These courses must be completed as well before the start date in May.

You may apply while you are finishing prerequisite courses; however, all coursework (both nursing prerequisites and TCU Core) MUST BE COMPLETED before the program begins in May.

Once I apply, when will I hear back from TCU?
The admissions committee will review all completed applications to the Accelerated BSN Program at the end of January. Decision letters will go out in February or shortly thereafter. Incomplete applications will not be considered!
